ABOUT MR. GREEN :

Ricky Green has been a Greengrocer since his first job at just 16. He began on a popular market stall in Hampstead (North London) and fell in love with the job and the fresh fruit produce. Not many people could do the early mornings, setting up and packing away outdoors in all weather, but Mr. Green loves it!

 

13 YEARS LATER :

After years of searching for the perfect location he was introduced to Michael who had run the shop for over 20 years as a greengrocers and florist and he decided to take the plunge and take over the shop.

In May 2016 the shop had a make-over! A re-brand, a new awning, re-decorated, re-stocked and a huge tidy up, and we are working everyday to make the shop better and better, but always remembering it's roots of being traditional and welcoming.

Our fruit and flowers are as fresh as possible due to Ricky's visits to the market 6 times a week. We also take personal orders and requests for products and if it’s at the market, we’ll find it!

Only 4 months after the take over, we were nominated and shortlisted for a TimeOut Love London Award. Due to the amazing support from our customers we WON the runner up award for Best Shop in Highgate. Thank you!

In October 2019, we opened our second shop in the nearby Muswell Hill. It is a great town that we have wanted to be part of for a long time. Opening another new business has been challenging but we have been welcomed and supported by the Muswell Hill community and we are truly grateful.
